While the Confed-Cup is coming to its knock-out stage, part of the remaining football world is starting to prepare for the upcoming 2013-2014 football season.
So is FC Bayern Munich. The treple Champion will kick-off its campaign with the first training session on Wednesday 26/06/2013 at the Allianz Arena Munich starting at 5 pm cet.
Usually, FCB does not charge to visit a training session, however, this time a €5 admission charge will apply and the entire revenue is going to be donated to the victims of the devastating flooding in large parts of Bavaria recently.
The training will host only 14 Bayern professionals as Gustavo, Dante, and Martinez are still competing with their national teams in the Confed-Cup. Mario Götze (the 37 mio transfer from Dortmund) and Holger Badstuber are still injured and other players with international duties (such as Robben and Pizzaro) will not be present as well, due to their extension of the summer vacation.
It was reported by Sport1.de that the entire session will be broadcasted via internet for free (HERE) however, it seems that the link will only work for visitors from Germany. Different sources stated that the training will also be shown on fcb.tv, which costs €12 for 3 month. However, we also found blog-rumors that the session will be available for free (HERE).
However, the first highlight is going to be Pep's first press conference tomorrow (Monday 24/06/2013) at 12 pm cet, which is also going to be broadcasted via Sport1.de - HERE - We are unsure if this link is going to work for viewers outside Germany (again). It is mentioned on Sport1.de that "press conferences" (in general) should be available world-wide - guess we will see.
Guardiola's 5-weeks pre-season schedule consists of 6 friendly matches and 6 tournament matches (like the German Supercup (vs. Dortmund) or the Audi-Cup (vs. FC Sao Paolo)) and the first "real" match (German national Cup) will be played between the 2. - 5.08.2013. The German championship will start one week later.
